150th Anniversary Gala
On September 16, 2017, the Sacramento Children’s Home hosted its 150th Anniversary Gala at Memorial Auditorium. Approximately 400 members of the Sacramento community and dedicated supporters attended the event, which included remarks by Congresswoman Doris Matsui, Sacramento Children’s Home CEO Roy Alexander, and County Supervisor Phil Serna. Additionally, Miles Cooley, Partner with Kelley Drye & Warren LLP, provided his insight about the Children’s Home from his perspective as a former resident. KFBK’s Kitty O’Neal and PBS’ Rob Stewart served as Masters of Ceremonies.
The Gala provided a live auction, featuring nine auction packages that included trips to San Diego, Capitola, Sonoma and New York City, as well as tickets to the Tower Bridge Dinner and a live performance by artist David Garibaldi.
We are grateful to the Sacramento community for joining us in celebration of 150 years and coming together to raise over $400,000 in one incredible night. The funds raised from the live auction and the Fund a Need portion of the program will directly benefit our Crisis Nursery Program. To everyone who joined us and/or supported the Gala, thank you.
